WA Science and Innovation Studentship Awarded to Aaron Burton
Aaron Burton, from Murdoch University, will undertake a project with Spartel Environmental Technologies researching odour reduction through an innovative odour control technology. The technology is targeted at odours typically associated with organic wastes generated by the meat and livestock industry. Significant economic and environmental benefits to Western Australia arise through the enhanced sustainability of meat and livestock industry by addressing issues of community amenity and environmental health associated with odour. This technology has the potential to be exported throughout the world as a Western Australian innovation for the sustainability of agricultural industries faced with encroaching urban development.
